"High Energy Gypsy Swing..."

Look out world, `cause here they come. Step up onto your stars, boys! -- Dian Francesca, Union Hall Coffee House, Carlisle, MA

Inspired by the 1930’s Gypsy Jazz of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli and contemporary gypsy masters as well, They Might Be Gypsies plays high energy, uplifting music with tremendous passion. The group is lead by the father and son duo of Greg and Aidan Ryan and they will have a rhythm section of bass and drums accompanying them at the Valley Stage.

Simultaneously cool and on fire, Greg and Aidan Ryan blaze through Gypsy jazz guitar duos with hellbending energy and musicality and an ease and joy that lets the rest of us sit back , gape and grin. We love sharing the stage with them. -- Rani Arbo

A Gypsy at heart, Greg grew up traveling and playing music. He picked up the guitar at a young age, performing with his mother’s bluegrass band and later enjoyed sitting in with his stepfather’s South American folk group. Greg loves all kinds of music and draws inspiration from many genres. He is a passionate and energetic performer.

…a wonderful guitarist – see him live! -- Willy Porter

Might be gypsies indeed: these were gypsies incarnate with expertise reminiscent of The Gipsy Kings...highly recommended” -- R Pattee, Valley Reporter, Waitsfield, VT
