What a wonderful setting for such great music. We especially loved The Waybacks and May Erlewine/Seth Bernard - new finds for us. What a view of Camel's Hump. The sound system was terrific and the vendors kept up well fed with yummy food. Thanks Don for putting on this fun festival.

  2. M. Schuster

My wife and I had an awesome time! What an amazing location and great music! Looking forward to next year!

  3. Judy

Couldn't find a more magnificent spot for a concert. Great music, great food, great people. Obviously lots of thought and hard work behind this to make it the best day festival around.

  4. Meg

Absolutely fabulous intimate setting. What views! What a great environment to be introduced to some new (to me) musicians and dance to, and thoroughly enjoy, one of my long-time favorite bands! It was all very well run, great vendors, great music, beautiful overall scene. We'll be back!

  5. I. Minot

Usually I'll only go to a festival if I already know and enjoy one or two of the artists on the bill, but with Valley Stage, I have come to just trust Don's taste. He brings in acts that aren't common on the Vermont scene yet, and I always go home with a new CD to help carry me until the next year.

A highlight of local summer offerings! Stellar day, the music, sublime. Thanks so much for putting this day together. It was great to hear some new as well as some very much loved music.

  7. C. Doran, Wenham, MA

As a veteran of many music festivals down through the years, it is a treat to discover one with as much charm, musical panache and advantages of a stunning location as Valley Stage. Don's hard work to pull together talent, vendors and local support for a festival of this scope clearly paid off in 2010. The crowd was joyous, the weather spectacular, the food delicious and plentiful and the musicians skilled and appreciative of the audience and the vantage point. We're already eagerly looking forward to next year!

I laughed, I cried, I may have devoured human flesh disguised as a locally made sausage. But seriously, thanks Don Sheldon, for your excellent taste in music and location. It seemed more like a house concert than a festival, but I didn't have to bring food. I ended up driving 15 hours from New Jersey back and forth and it was worth it. If I lived within 100 miles of Valley Stage, coming back every year would be a no-brainer.

  9. L. Thomson, Richmond, Vermont

The Valley Stage Festival was just great! Four different musical performers, all terrific, with music from mid-day to nightfall. The setting is gorgeous and the whole day is so family friendly, with kids dancing, and performers and their kids doing the same! I will definitely be back next year!

  10. B. Valentine, Huntington

This was our first time at the Valley Stage, and we are kicking ourselves for having lived in Huntington for 7 years and not making it sooner. More vendors and artisan booths would make it easier for the kiddos who can't sit still.

  11. P. Fitzsimmons , New Haven

Great music, great location, great vibe! Just a great Music Festival all around.
