Bookmatch (G. Rockwell and Micah Nicol)
Feb. 5 2025 – 7:30pm
“I’m always amazed at the talent that exists outside the mainstream… These guys capture their folk bluegrass idiom perfectly with great songs and heartfelt performances.”
“This is music very much the equal of the great ’70s folk artists: Bromberg, Lightfoot, etc.” -Dino DiMuro, Pitch Perfect
Two kindred spirits joined by their love for acoustic music that touches the heart, G Rockwell and Micah Nicol marry virtuosic instrumentals and tender vocals in their project Bookmatch. Named after the practice of cutting and aligning two pieces of wood so that they become mirror images of each other, Bookmatch’s members approach the genre and instruments from a unique backgrounds yielding musical alchemy that brings audiences in for the warm hug of an intertwining acoustic guitar soundscape.

Valley Stage Productions recently moved to Weybridge, VT. In addition to our concert series; “P.M. Sundays” held at Richmond Congregational Church in Richmond we’ve decided to host periodic house concerts known as “What About Wednesdays?!” House Concerts allow the audience to experience an intimate performance in a small setting.
We have space for 35-40 people. A $25 donation is recommended with all proceeds going to the artist. If you’d like to make a reservation please contact us at 802-557-7589 or don@valleystage.net. Please let us know 48 hours in advance (Monday evening) if you are unable to attend. We will maintain a waiting list once we’ve sold out and will contact those interested in being alerted to there being an open seat or seats available when we get a cancellation. Concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. You may start arriving at 7:00 p.m.
The concert will be held on the 2nd floor of my house located at 3345 Quaker Village Rd. in Weybridge. There is no elevator and a small flight of stairs. We’d appreciate it if you could bring a second pair of indoor shoes or slippers. BYOB. Light refreshments will be provided.
